Welcome to the Owner's Corner

As a small business owner you have to do a lot of different things, sometimes all at once, and often stuff you don't feel comfortable doing. There are a ton of starts and stops, ups and downs, obstacles upon obstacles, and no matter what the buck always stops with you. It can be hard to keep perspective sometimes, and even harder to get any sort of recognition for all of the hard work you're putting in.

Owning a business can be lonely. I've seen it first hand, not only as a business owner myself, but also because I've worked with small business owners for the last 10 years, helping them craft their marketing and branding strategies. I see the hard work and effort that goes into building something from nothing, and I believe in the power of small business to drive innovation, culture, and prosperity.

That's why, starting today, we're going to be running a regular feature called The Owner's Corner, which will coordinate across all of our digital networks: email, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and our blog. In short, The Owner's Corner is a place to celebrate America's small business owners by telling individual owners' stories and broadcasting it as far and wide as we can.

While the primary goal is awareness, I hope that this project will also have the added benefit of helping to connect business owners across the country so that we can share resources, expertise, and help grow a more prosperous, connected small business community.

1. There is absolutely no cost for being featured. This is a space for highlighting business owners and so we're going to run this totally free of charge. 2. Being featured is easy: just fill out a questionnaire, send us your company logo and a headshot, and we'll let you know when your feature will run. 3. Follow DogEatCrow on your social channel of choice, and help spread the word.

It's been my pleasure to work with so many incredible small business owners through the years, and I hope The Owner's Corner can start the process of giving back to the community that has done so much for me.
