The seeds for DogEatCrow were planted almost 20 years ago as co-founders Tres Crow (then a student at University of Michigan) and Vishay Singh (a brand new attorney in Johannesburg) simultaneously determined that their future careers would be dedicated to serving others and the planet we all live on. Vishay was an attorney, working to settle the massive backlog of civil and criminal cases leftover from the Apartheid era of South Africa, and Tres tried his hand at writing songs, novels, short stories, and essays.
Eventually both shifted their attention to entrepreneurial ventures: Vishay started Mapmelocal, an SEO company focused on helping local business, and Tres formed Walkabout, a digital mapping technology for small, local events. Their shared love of small businesses and tight-knit local communities led them to form a partnership around their two companies.
Eventually, Tres left to take the role of Chief Marketing Officer at Skyfire Consulting, and Vishay helped kickstart the growing small business community of The Globe Hub, but the two always had a vision for a company that would simultaneously help small businesses tackle the often daunting task of marketing their businesses online, but also help transition business to a more sustainable, localized future.
That company is DogEatCrow, a full-service digital marketing agency dedicated to small businesses, the communities they inhabit, and making a more just and sustainable world for all.
Between Climate Change, environmental degradation, and increasing economic inequality, it’s clear that the current way of doing business is no longer sustainable. Something needs to change. Fortunately there are millions of brilliant entrepreneurs building the next generation of sustainable businesses, non-profits, and triple-bottom-line companies that are shaping the future of humanity. DogEatCrow is dedicated to these people, to helping the helpers, and making it easier for the most innovative new companies and organizations to cut through the noise and capture more mindshare. The history of humanity is largely the tale of competing stories, and the winner gets to write the rules for the future. DogEatCrow is a company for those who want to rewrite the rules for a more just, ecologically harmonious, and sustainable world.
